🎓 Recommended for Grades K–6

🌿 ABOUT THE CLASS:

There is something magical about making art surrounded by the very nature that inspired the artist you are studying — and that is exactly what we get to do at Chapman Mountain!

Students will:

• 🎨 Learn about Georgia O’Keeffe — a visionary artist whose love of the natural world shaped every brushstroke she ever made

• 🔍 Study her art through the lens of the Elements of Art — line, shape, form, space, texture, color, and more

• 🌟 Complete TWO hands-on art projects to take home, inspired by O’Keeffe and the season around us

• 🍂 Find inspiration in the gorgeous fall landscape right outside the pavilion

This is not just an art class — it is an experience. Kids will walk away with beautiful keepsakes, a new favorite artist, and a deeper love for the world around them.

👨‍👧 FOR FAMILIES:

Parents are required to remain on site for the duration of class. And honestly — you are going to want to! Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve is absolutely stunning in the fall. Bring a picnic, explore the trails, or simply sit and breathe in the fresh air before or after class. We encourage families to make a whole morning or afternoon of it! 🌿

Younger siblings are welcome — I will have simple art activities and supplies on site to keep little hands happily busy while the big kids create! 🎨
